In a recent article in the Providence Journal, Rhode Island Science and Technology Advisory Council (STAC) co-chairs Jeff Seemann and Clyde Briant review the accomplishments of Rhode Island's leadership in 2006, including the creation of the Rhode Island Research Alliance, a new awards program to stimulate collaborative research, and in collaboration with the Business Innovation Factory, a statewide program to enable all of Rhode Island's public high schools to participate in Dean Kamen's FIRST Vex Challenge.
